Responsibilities

  • Receive cash or credit card from customers in payment for goods or services.
  • Computes bill on P.O.S. System or adding machine, makes change, and issues receipt.
  • May be required to know value of menu items.
  • Greets and seats patrons.
  • Coordinates and controls the flow of the Restaurant.
  • Assigns stations to servers and bus persons.
  • Interacts between Service Staff and Patrons when difficult situations arise.
  • Ensures that Service Quality and Standards are followed.
  • Answer any guest related questions in the Ameristar Standard.
  • Greeting guests to dine in and through the telephone.
  • Concisely relaying information regarding promotions, menu, and reservations to guests
  • Handling takeout orders through walk in, telephone, and third-party services
  • Performing 30-minute bathroom checks
  • Utilizing an app-based reservation system to record walk-ins, reservations, and seat guests based on server rotation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous cash handling experience is helpful.
  • Must have excellent guest service skills.
  • Able to operate a P.O.S. System and/or adding machine and make change.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must be very friendly and outgoing.
