Job description

At American Career College, we share a passion for students and transforming healthcare education! As a faculty member for a certified Great Place to Work, you will join a collaborative, student-centric culture valuing academic integrity, mutual respect, student learning, service, responsiveness, innovation, diversity, and stewardship.  As a part of this team, you will guide students to do more than change their own lives – you will help change the lives of every patient they care for throughout their career. At American Career College, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and passion with the next generation of healthcare professionals.

You will make an impact by:

  • Working closely with the Director, Career Services, planning, managing and overseeing the day to day operations of all externship to hire coordination and related career services activities that support graduating student program employment.
  • Establishing and maintaining liaison with representatives from employer organizations, agencies and corporations to promote and coordinate recruiting visits to the school; coordinates the scheduling of interviews between representatives and qualified applicants for externships and/or placement.
  • Planning, developing, and maintaining active external employer job postings to assist students with temporary job placements during school; coordinating with employers to develop job orders and updates as necessary; referring students to job openings.

Your experience includes:

  • Medical / Healthcare experience preferred 
  • Three to five years of overall experience in career counseling/student services, placement projects, tasks and management.
  • Evidence of strong supervisory and managerial skills, including budgets, assessment and evaluation skills.
  • Experience with career services information management systems, internship programs and employer relations.
  • Knowledge of career and occupational resources, trends and opportunities, basic research methods and college admission requirements, financial aid requirements, and training necessary for future careers.

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
