Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Labor Pool (Float Pool) position in Albany, GA, requiring at least 2 years of experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details
  • Acute care hospital setting with a 483-bed main campus and 124-bed north campus
  • Labor Pool (Float Pool) position covering Med/Surg units including Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW
  • Day shift, 12-hour shifts starting at 0645
  • Every other weekend required
  • Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6; CNAs available with a general ratio of 1:8–1:10
  • On-call for low census situations
  • Floating is required; must be flexible with changing unit assignments during the shift
  • Telemetry monitoring available across different units
  • Respiratory therapy, pharmacy, OB/Neonatologist, and PICC team available 24/7
  • Ventilator equipment in use includes BIPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and Draeger (used at night only)
  • EMR system: MEDITECH
Requirements
  • Active GA or Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS; ACLS also listed for float pool coverage
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • At least 1 prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers will not be considered
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing assignments across multiple units
  • A valid Driver's License is required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Holiday rotation shared with permanent staff
  • Floor-specific orientation is provided (16 orientation hours)
  • Scrub color required: Caribbean Blue
  • RTO requests are honored only if submitted and confirmed at the start of the assignment
