Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Houston, TX, with a focus on heavy structural heart procedures including clinical trials.

Details
  • Cardiac Cath Lab unit located on floors 1 and 2 of the South Tower in an acute care hospital with an average daily census of 120 beds
  • Procedures include heavy structural heart interventions and clinical trials
  • Equipment includes Siemens, GE, and Philips systems
  • EMR system is Merge
  • Staffing model is 3-4 staff per room, with a Rad Tech/RN combination on day shift
  • Hours of operation are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with after-hours and weekend on-call coverage
  • Shift is 9:00 AM–7:00 PM (10-hour days)
  • On-call requirement includes every other weekend and one weekday
  • May float to Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab Pre/Post areas
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience; allied candidates must have 6 months of experience within the last 6 months
  • Texas state license or compact license required, if applicable
  • Active ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
  • Structural heart experience strongly preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates will be considered
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (two references required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
  • Ideal candidates are self-motivated and team-focused
  • Royal blue scrubs are required
  • 13-week contract
