Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 4+ years of experience and CNMT certification for a day-shift assignment supporting adult and geriatric patients in nuclear cardiology.

Details
  • Nuclear Medicine department within a hospital and clinic setting
  • Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Focus on nuclear cardiology procedures
  • Performs MUGA scans, PYP scans, and exercise/pharmacological (Lexiscan) stress studies
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hours)
  • May be required to float within skill set
  • May be placed on call up to once per pay period with a 60-minute call-back requirement
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • BLS and CNMT certification required
  • State license required, if applicable
  • Hospital and clinic experience required
  • Experience with adult patients and nuclear cardiology procedures
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Skilled in drawing venous blood and starting/maintaining IVs
  • Experience with storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
  • Proficient in myocardial exercise/rest (single and multiple) and pharmacological stress procedures
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
  • Candidates must be flexible with scheduling as out-of-norm requests are rarely granted
  • One RTO request allowed, not to exceed 7 days and must be submitted with initial profile
  • No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
  • Travelers are expected to work every other holiday, with preference for coverage on major holidays
  • Only one contract extension is permitted, after which time off equal to the combined contract and extension length is required before returning to this facility
  • Former employees of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible to return as a traveler
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
  • One reference is required for consideration
