ROLE SUMMARY:
The Portfolio Strategy team puts the consumer at the center of everything we do. As part of the broader Alcohol Insights & Category Strategy team, we work to understand consumers and their diverse needs, while closely tracking food, beverage, and broader consumer trends. We use these insights to develop commercial strategies that address the company's most important challenges across both our extensive portfolio of established brands, while also keeping an eye on the next wave of beverage innovation. Our team is at the forefront of Anheuser-Busch's commercial strategy, working closely with senior leaders across the organization as well as key external partners.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic projects, lead quantitative survey-based consumer research, and partner with some of the world's leading market research and strategy agencies. You will be responsible for leveraging consumer surveys, third-party data, and proprietary research to inform commercial strategy. Your ability to synthesize large, complex data sets and tell a compelling story will influence decision-making and drive meaningful change across the marketing, sales, and broader commercial organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Portfolio Strategy - Support development of the portfolio strategy for the US, including integration into the 3YP business cycle, through the analysis of industry, trends, portfolio performance and our consumer consumption survey
  • Category & Portfolio Insights - Lead insights development at the category and portfolio level to inform strategy and our key commercial priorities
  • Trends - Coordinate with market research and futures agencies to closely track and forecast trends that will impact our business
  • Performance Assessment - Inform senior leaders and commercial & brand teams and senior leaders on the evolving Participation, Occasions, and Servings metric performance across categories, brands, and consumer cohorts
  • Strategic Deep Dives - Design and lead analyses of high importance topics, including competitor and consumer deep dives to help ABI make strategic commercial decisions

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strategy, Insights, Marketing and/or Sales experience - 5-8 years (at a mid to large CPG or consumer research/strategy agency desired) and/or advanced degree in a relevant concentration area (marketing, business, consumer).
  • Curious, Analytical, Creative, Strategic - able to lead analyses on large data sets across different qual & quant sources (syndicated, panel, primary, etc.), and uncover impactful, concrete insights to elevate and strengthen strategy & planning
  • Agile and Fast Learner - able to quickly pick up new data tools & systems, and synthesize insights into easily digestible, influential takeaways to tell a story & inform and guide strategy
  • Team Player in a Dynamic and Fast-Moving Environment - able to drive impact and influence across key stakeholder groups (Brand, Innovation, Sales, Finance, Wholesalers, Retailers, etc.), with urgency and effectiveness
  • Owner Mentality - able to drive commercial agenda and execute at a high capacity in a highly dynamic function; no task is too little or too big
  • Strong Presentation Skills - has experience presenting to and influencing leadership of various functions and levels
