Description:

Vision Quest Solutions is seeking qualified Cleared American Guards / Mission Guards to support secure facilities, construction sites, and designated government or private-sector properties. This position is responsible for protecting personnel, facilities, materials, information, and property through access control, patrol, screening, escort, surveillance, and emergency response duties.


The ideal candidate will have a strong security background, sound judgment, professional communication skills, and the ability to operate in sensitive or controlled environments while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, vigilance, and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities

The Cleared American Guard / Mission Guard will be responsible for:

  • Providing perimeter and internal access control at assigned facilities or construction sites.
  • Controlling access to secure storage areas, sensitive locations, and designated work areas.
  • Escorting personnel, materials, visitors, or uncleared individuals within controlled or sensitive areas.
  • Monitoring CCTV, alarm systems, access control systems, and security consoles.
  • Conducting roving patrols to identify suspicious activity, safety concerns, abandoned items, or potential threats.
  • Supporting visitor processing, badge verification, reception desk control, and entry-point screening.
  • Conducting personnel, package, material, and vehicle inspections for prohibited or questionable items.
  • Responding to alarms, medical emergencies, fire alarms, civil disturbances, criminal activity, and other incidents.
  • Maintaining clear, accurate, and concise written reports.
  • Communicating professionally and effectively with supervisors, government personnel, visitors, and team members.
  • Supporting classified material control, construction surveillance, and operational security requirements as assigned.


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
  • Ability to prepare legible, concise, and accurate reports in English.
  • Ability to communicate information orally in a professional and informative manner.
  • Strong observation skills, attention to detail, and sound decision-making ability.
  • Ability to work in secure, sensitive, or high-accountability environments.
  • Willingness to complete required training and comply with all security procedures, site rules, and client requirements.

Preferred Experience

  • Preferred candidates will have prior experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Military Police, Marine Security Guard, law enforcement, security operations, or protective services.
  • Security watch standing or guard force operations.
  • Alarm monitoring, CCTV monitoring, access control, or dispatch operations.
  • Use of metal detectors, x-ray machines, explosives trace detection equipment, handheld magnetometers, or screening equipment.
  • Personnel and vehicle screening.
  • Construction site security or construction surveillance.
  • Escorting uncleared personnel in secure or controlled areas.
  • Emergency response, first aid, or safety-related duties.


Training

Selected personnel may receive or be required to complete training in:

  • Security awareness and personal security.
  • Observation skills and site surveillance.
  • Access control techniques.
  • Personnel and vehicle screening.
  • Rules of personal conduct.
  • Emergency medical training / advanced first aid.
  • OSHA 10-hour construction safety.
  • Physical and technical security principles.
  • Construction surveillance requirements and techniques.
  • Counterintelligence and operational security.
  • Industrial security.
  • Improvised explosive device awareness.
  • Chemical and biological threat awareness.
  • Vehicle search procedures.
  • Interpretation of project specifications and drawings.
  • High-threat security awareness, as required.
