Job description

Position Overview:

As a Warehouse Orders Associate you will be responsible for processing and building customer orders.  You will be expected to provide exemplary customer service to every person that submits an order through mail, fax, and email by understanding the customer needs.  Applicants should be highly motivated, technologically inclined, as well as able to work on individual tasks, or working effectively as part of a team to ensure efficiency and positive customer experience.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

People Skills:

  • Customer service-focused, friendly, willing to talk to all customers
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times

Day-to-Day Operations:

  • Provide customer service via telephone and email
  • Accurately provide quotes for customers, upon request
  • Process and fill orders so they are ready to be completed within Point-of-Sale (POS)
  • Complete customer transactions on the Point-of-Sale (POS) device, including payment
  • Ensure all packages are properly labeled with customer information, and ready to be shipped
  • Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort, and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment
  • Mail Room: Receive and distribute mail as required for internal delivery
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate filing and appropriate records as regulated
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Regulatory Adherence:

  • Ensure that OHS, LP, other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and adhered to 
  • Ensure AMCO and other government guidelines are met
  • Adheres to all Brown Jug and Afognak policies, with a focus on Social Responsibility

 Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum, 1-year experience in retail environment (preferred, not required)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • TAP/TIPS/Rserving Certificate 
  • Training in wine/ beer/spirits environment (preferred, not required)
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to stand for extended periods
