Job description

Position Summary
The Mountain Host provides warm, friendly, and immediate greetings. Provides a first point of positive contact between Hilltop Ski Area and our guest(s)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Greeting and informing guests on the business information relating to Hilltop Ski Area
  • Answering customers complaints or inquiries; treating guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction.
  • Helps to enforce Hilltop alcohol policy as it regards to AMCO and Municipal regulations
  • Demonstrates and role models proper PPE requirements as needed.
  • Cleans debris off of tables and floors.
  • Keeping trash bins emptied.
  • Vacuums the lodge as needed.
  • Clean bathrooms as needed.
  • Keeping water container filled.
  • Interacting with guests coming in and as they leave, ensuring a positive park experience, enthusiastically promoting all programs and events.
  • Assist all other departments as needed, to improve customer experience.
  • Performing other duties as assigned
  • Promotes and exemplifies a culture of exceptional guest service, teamwork, innovation, and fun! Works well independently and with others. Enjoys “pitching in” whenever and wherever assistance is needed. Conducts and shows a high level of professionalism. Ensures that guests have a fun, safe, and memorable experience. Asks questions, shares concerns, or gives ideas on innovation and efficiencies that improve both the guests’ and employees’ experience.
  • Works with the Mountain Department to help execute special events as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • MUST BE 21+
  • High School Diploma (GED) preferred. Six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must have a current or the ability to acquire a TAPs Certification
  • Ability to work in inclement weather on a regular basis for long periods.
  • Ability to stay informed of Hilltop events, schedules, trends and conditions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule: early mornings, split shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be a self-starter. Able to be self-directed and able to maximize use of time and resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, team members and guests)
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
