Job description

Position Overview: This role involves performing specialized life-sustaining procedures within a hospital-based advanced care ambulance service. The nurse provides immediate emergency care and safe transport for critically ill or injured patients under the guidance of a medical control physician.
Work Schedule: The position is full-time, averaging 36 hours per week, typically including one 24-hour shift and one 12-hour shift weekly.
Education & Certifications
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required or to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • Completion of ICS 100 and ICS 200 courses within 3 months of hire.
  • Current operational level Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) training within 1 year of onboarding.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the relevant state.
Experience & Requirements
  • Proven ability to perform emergency medical procedures in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with clinical and support staff.
