Job description

Paramedic

The Paramedic performs a wide variety of patient care activities related to patients being treated and transported to the hospital by ambulance. The EMT-Paramedic also performs the responsibilities of driving emergency vehicles providing due regard for the safety of others while operating the ambulance. The EMT-Paramedic performs patient care activities when attending to the patient in the patient compartment of the ambulance. The EMT-Paramedic performs Life Support procedures within their scope of practice as approved by the Alabama Department of Public Health EMS Division.

Graduate of an accredited School of Emergency Medical Services with a current license from the Alabama State Department of Public Health as an EMT-Paramedic /Driver.
