Lead Ambassador

Job Summary 

The Lead Ambassador supports the team of Greeters and Ambassadors and helps ensure everything runs smoothly during each shift. In addition to performing regular Ambassador duties, the Lead helps train new staff, monitors team performance, and supports the MHS Manager or Team Lead with daily operations. 

Note: Lead Ambassadors may be responsible for performing all functions. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors just like other Ambassadors, while setting a strong example 

  • Fill in for team members during lunch breaks or other time away from their post 

  • Walk around regularly to check on team performance and offer support 

  • Help train new team members and retrain staff when needed 

  • Coach Ambassadors to improve customer service and teamwork 

  • Assist with making team schedules and keeping track of time and attendance 

  • Report any problems or concerns to the MHS Team Lead or Manager 

  • Keep all work areas clean, safe, and organized 

  • Maintain patient and staff privacy at all times in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. 

  • Report any accidents to the manager immediately 

  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualification and Requirements 

  • High school diploma/GED, and at least 1 year of experience in a similar role 

  • Must be legally allowed to work in the United States 

  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing) 

  • Must pass a background check and drug screening 

  • Must meet health and immunization requirements 

  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills 

Physical Requirements 

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, see, and hear. 

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.   

  • Must be able to push and pull (on wheelchair) 100 to 350 pounds, frequently over considerable distances. 

  • The ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours such as weekends, holidays, and longer shifts is sometimes required.
