We're looking for a Principal Brand Strategist to own the development and evolution of the Amazon Ads brand strategy, defining how we show up to advertisers, agencies, and marketing decision-makers worldwide.
This is a high-impact role that will shape the global brand architecture, positioning, and narrative for Amazon Ads across all B2B touchpoints. You will be the strategic backbone behind how Amazon Ads is perceived in the marketplace, driving clarity, consistency, and differentiation in a rapidly evolving advertising landscape.
Key job responsibilities
Brand Architecture & Positioning
Own and evolve the end-to-end brand strategy for Amazon Ads, including brand architecture, positioning, and value propositions across the full portfolio of products and services
Define how Amazon Ads differentiates in the B2B advertising marketplace against competitors
Develop and maintain a scalable brand architecture that accommodates new products and market expansion
Strategic Leadership
Serve as the voice on brand strategy, influencing VP+ leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
Translate complex business objectives and product capabilities into compelling, insight-driven brand narratives for B2B audiences (CMOs, media buyers, agency leaders)
Set the long-term brand vision (3-5 year horizon) and build the roadmap to get there
Cross-Functional Influence
Partner with Marketing, Sales, Creative, Events, and PR to ensure brand coherence across all advertiser-facing channels
Align brand strategy with go-to-market motions, sales narratives, and thought leadership programs
Influence global teams to ensure consistent brand expression across markets
Governance & Standards
Establish brand governance frameworks, guidelines, and decision-making criteria for the broader organization
Mentor and elevate brand thinking across the marketing organization
