Le technicien principal (TP) est charge de veiller a ce que tous les equipements electriques, mecaniques et de securite incendie du centre de donnees fonctionnent a leur niveau maximum d'efficacite. Ceci implique un entretien preventif planifie de l'equipement, des travaux correctifs quotidiens et des interventions d'urgence. Ces points doivent etre au centre de toutes les operations d'installation au sein d'un centre de donnees donne

Le TP gere les projets de petite et moyenne envergure, de la conception a l'achevement, obtient et suit les devis pour tous les couts necessaires et documente les resultats des projets en vue de leur mise en uvre future dans d'autres installations. Le TP soutient les techniciens des operations d'ingenierie et tout fournisseur tiers en leur offrant son aide pour le fonctionnement et des depannages d'equipements electriques et mecaniques sur le terrain. Ces equipements comprennent, sans s'y limiter, les generatrices diesel de secours, les appareils de commutation, les alimentations sans interruption (ASI), les unites de distribution d'alimentation (PDU), les unites de traitement d'air (AHU), les tours de refroidissement, les systemes de traitement chimique, les pompes, les moteurs, les variateurs de frequence (VFD) et les systemes immotiques.

Cette equipe travaille dans un environnement qui fonctionne 24/24 et 7 /7.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is currently hiring for a Lead Building Technician to support our data centers.
The Lead Building Technician (LT) is responsible for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency

This involves planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response. They are expected to be a singular focal point for all facility operations within a given data center. The LT manages small-to-medium projects from conception to completion, obtains and tracks quotes for all necessary costs and documenting project results for future implementation at other facilities.

The LT supports Engineering Operation technicians and any third party vendors in their role of providing hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operations. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators, switch gear, UPS's, PDU's, AHU's, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFD's, and building automation systems. This team works in an environment that operates 24/7.
