Job Summary (Storeroom Attendant)
- Performs receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting of inventory at customerโs facility.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Works 2nd shift (Sat-Sun and one variable weekday, 2pm-10:20pm); occasional 3rd shift coverage.
- Initial training on 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6am-2:20pm or 7am-3:20pm) for 3-4 weeks.
- Position is temp-to-hire.
- Physically demanding role; walking up to 4.5 miles per day.
- Requires a current, valid driverโs license (driving battery-operated cart between buildings).
- Handles receiving, disbursing, auditing, and other site-specific warehouse duties.
- Delivers and picks up materials across campus; visits docks as needed.
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Provides good customer service to internal/external clients.
- Uses computers for inventory and documentation tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Uses ladders (up to 8 feet) to stock parts; ladders have safety features.
- Previous warehouse and forklift experience a plus (on-the-job certification available).
- Warehouse is heated in winter, no AC in summer (can be warm).
- Steel toe shoes with internal metatarsals required.
- Must have positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well in a team.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3+ months of relevant warehouse experience or training.
- Experience with loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods preferred.
- Forklift/cherry picker experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, and procedure manuals.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21 preferred).
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rate/ratio/percent).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and be self-motivated.
- Attention to detail and safety-minded.
