Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description

The Warehouse Associate supports the shipping department by performing material handling, order picking, and inventory-related tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role works as part of a team while maintaining individually tracked performance and requires consistent physical activity, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and warehouse procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the shipping department by handling incoming and outgoing materials according to established procedures.
• Perform order picking accurately and efficiently using an RF scanner and other warehouse tools.
• Handle receiving and returns, including unloading, sorting, and staging products as directed.
• Move pallets of product and empty pallets within narrow aisles while maintaining awareness of surroundings and other team members.
• Use inventory control practices to help maintain accurate stock levels and locations.
• Climb and work from a 12-foot staircase ladder as needed to access and handle products stored at height.
• Walk at a fast pace throughout the warehouse for extended periods to meet productivity and shipping timelines.
• Lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds independently on a regular basis during the shift.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures, including staying clear of electric pallet jacks and other equipment operated by certified personnel.
• Comply with all warehouse policies, including restrictions on personal electronics and adherence to dress and footwear guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely and accurate shipment of orders.

Essential Skills

• 0–6 months of related warehouse, material handling, or shipping and receiving experience.
• Ability to perform warehouse tasks such as material handling, receiving, returns processing, shipping, and order picking.
• Experience or familiarity with RF scanners for order picking and inventory control.
• Ability to walk at a fast pace for 8–12 hours per day on a consistent basis.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently for extended periods, potentially 8–12 hours per day.
• Comfort working at heights, including using and working from a 12-foot staircase ladder.
• Ability to work safely in a busy warehouse environment with narrow aisles and moving equipment.
• Reliability and consistency in meeting individually tracked performance expectations.
• Willingness to follow strict policies regarding the use of cellphones, smart watches, and other electronics in the warehouse.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in a shipping department or similar warehouse role.
• Experience working around electric pallet jacks or other powered industrial equipment operated by certified personnel.
• Strong attention to detail when handling inventory, picking orders, and processing returns.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining individual accountability.

Work Environment

This position operates in a warehouse environment, primarily within the shipping department. The area includes pallets full of product and empty pallets laid out on the floor, with narrow aisles and several other team members working nearby. Electric pallet jacks are in regular use by certified operators, and employees must remain alert and follow safety protocols. The role involves walking at a fast pace and performing physical tasks for 8–12 hours per day. Personal electronics such as cellphones, smart watches, and other devices are not permitted in the warehouse. Acceptable footwear includes sneakers, boots, or steel-toe shoes, in line with warehouse safety and dress expectations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flower Mound, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
