Description
SIMOS is hiring full-time, long-term Warehouse Associates for a warehouse and distribution facility. This is a hands-on position working with large, bulky furniture in a fast-paced environment. As a Simos associate, you will receive Health/Dental benefits within the first 30 days, paid time off, and weekly paychecks!
Requirements: This position requires continuous lifting, handling, and moving of large, bulky furniture weighing up to 75 lbs. Candidates must have strong attention to detail and be able to use an iPad as quality inspections are performed throughout the shift to ensure products meet customer and company standards. Balers will be required to use the Baler machine throughout the shift, loading cardboard boxes. Must have at least 6 months of Quality Inspecting or Baling experience to be considered for the position.
  • Pay: $17.50/hour
  • Shift: Day Shift- Monday-Friday, times vary but are typically 7 AM - 4 pm. Associates may be required to stay longer until work is complete (flexibility required) -Weekends as needed

  • Unpacking while Quality Inspecting large, heavy, bulky furniture consecutively throughout the shift

  • Must have great Attention to Detail
  • Ability to see/hear and distinguish sounds and signs that alert, instruct, or notify one of danger, such as warning signs, horns, alarms, speech, and vehicular/pedestrian traffic.
  • Top Quality Safety Culture: Safety actually comes first.
  • Lift product, shrink wrap, and palletize pallets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, handle, and carry boxes up to 75 pounds of heavy, bulky furniture
  • Ability to carry, stand, walk, lift, stoop, bend, push, and pull
  • Stand on your feet for at least 10-12 hours; reach overhead, twist, turn, and squat throughout the shift

  • Responsible for staging orders, sorting pallets, and loading furniture to be delivered out of the warehouse.
  • The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated & reliable individual who is able to work at a steady pace to meet the production schedule.
  • Visual capacity to clearly recognize, read, and understand standard operating procedures, signs, part number labels, and instructions.
