Job description

Shape the future of user experience with strategic design initiatives that blend business needs and user insights.

As an Experience Design Vice President in Identity & Access Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience across our products and services. Leveraging your deep knowledge of design and research practices to lead strategically important initiatives and develop innovative solutions that align with business requirements and user needs. As a subject matter expert, collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide, and mentor junior designers, and foster a culture of inclusivity and accessibility. Your expertise in experience strategy and inclusive design will ensure that our offerings are not only visually appealing but also accessible and user-friendly, enhancing the overall customer experience. Head the planning of multiple project initiatives and contribute to the vision of the global technology team. You’ll support our client-first mindset by enabling and supporting library methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Key responsibilities include building relationships with stakeholders, growing and fostering a high-performance UX team, working with designers to ensure deliverables are consistent with design languages and systems, and communicating research results to leadership.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute design/research strategies for complex projects and ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs across multiple product areas
  • Diagram service flows and product features, design wireframes, and prototype interactions for key touchpoints as you lead end-to-end design initiatives within a specific domain.
  • Role‑model the adoption of inclusive design practices and accessibility guidelines, mentor junior designers and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate user experience design into the product development processes and ensure seamless and customer‑centric solutions
  • Analyze market trends, gather feedback from user research, and learn from data insights to inform design decisions and optimize user experiences across various platforms and channels

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years (or equivalent) in UX/Product Design delivering end-to-end experiences on complex enterprise products
  • Comfortable designing for IAM/security workflows and multiple personas (end users, approvers, admins, auditors, developers)
  • Strong ability to create and use journeys/flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to align teams and drive decisions
  • Demonstrated inclusive design and accessibility practice (e.g., WCAG)
  • Security UX mindset: design experiences that are both safe and usable (clear risk communication, least‑privilege defaults, strong recovery/error patterns)
  • Experience with generative and evaluative research methods across the product lifecycle
  • User‑centric approach with rapid testing and iterative design cycles
  • Strong visual, UI, and interaction design skills
  • Good judgment using design systems (when to follow, when to extend/evolve)
  • Advanced technical literacy (client‑side patterns, APIs, microservices) plus IAM concepts (SSO, SAML/OIDC, SCIM, RBAC/ABAC, policies, audit/logging)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including influencing stakeholders and partnering closely with fast‑moving engineering teams

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Design leadership or managerial experience
  • Ability to use prototyping tools to convey design intent
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities on concurrent, rigorous deadlines in a fast‑paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to be a UX advocate and communicate with diverse stakeholders
