Job description

Job Title: UI/UX Design Consultant
Location: Tampa FL (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months
Interview Type: In-Person

Job Description:
Role Overview:
As a Digital Designer on the UX & Creative team, you’ll produce clean, on-brand digital design across web, email, and marketing creative—and help modernize how we work. This is a hands-on production and design role: you’ll build and iterate in Figma, migrate legacy Adobe XD files into Figma, and apply UX best practices to real user flows. You’ll perform structured assignments under the guidance of the Creative/UX lead, building fluency in our design system, tooling, and processes while contributing to faster, more consistent creative output. The ideal candidate is early in their career, curious, and already comfortable using AI and emerging tools to work smarter.
What You’ll Do:
  • Produce digital designs in Figma—web pages, emails, banners, and marketing creative—from brief to routing-ready asset.
  • Convert and rebuild legacy Adobe XD files into clean, well-structured Figma files that follow our components, layouts, and naming conventions.
  • Apply UX best practices to design work: understand and map user flows, and design experiences that are intuitive, accessible, and on-brand.
  • Make thoughtful design recommendations—flagging usability issues, inconsistencies, or opportunities to improve an experience.
  • Use AI and emerging tools (e.g., Figma Make, Copilot, and other generative design/productivity tools) to speed up production and prototyping.
  • Build and maintain reusable components and contribute to our design system and file structure/version-control standards.
  • Support routing, proofing, and final release of creative assets, collaborating closely with designers, content developers, and strategy partners.
  • Participate in team feedback, help sessions, and onboarding modules to continuously build your craft.
What You’ll Bring:
You’re a designer who loves the craft and wants to get faster and better every day. You bring solid fundamentals in digital and UX design, a working knowledge of user-centered principles, and genuine enthusiasm for AI and modern tooling. You take direction well, ask good questions, and produce clean, consistent work with a growing degree of independence. You’re a collaborative teammate who cares about quality, brand consistency, and the end user.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in any design capacity (digital, UX/UI, graphic, web, or marketing design).
  • Complex design fluency
  • Hands-on proficiency in Figma; ability to build, organize, and iterate design files.
  • Experience converting or rebuilding Adobe XD files (or comparable file-migration/rework experience).
  • Working knowledge of UX principles and user flows; able to translate requirements into usable designs.
  • Comfort and curiosity with AI and emerging design/productivity tools.
  • Strong eye for visual detail, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Clear communication and the ability to give and receive design feedback.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Design, UX, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
