AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. AWS Data Center Operations is seeking an innovative, customer-obsessed Technical Training Manager to own the development and implementation of a new Full-Time Training Team (FTT) for Data Center Operations. As the Technical Training Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of technical trainers to implement Data Center Operations initial training, maintain lab equipment, and ensure continuous improvement to the Data Center Operations training programs.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead a team of technical trainers
- Manage the training programs for Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO), Data Center Operations (DCO), Infrastructure Delivery (ID), Decommissioning, and Logistics
- Implement standardized training processes that adapt to audience needs
- Create and track performance metrics for training effectiveness
- Establish communication channels between Full Time Training Team (FTT) and stakeholders
- Drive innovation through AI technology and agile methodologies
- Support the design comprehensive learning materials including exercises, tutorials, and assessments
- Measure and report training program impact
- This job will be expected to travel approximately 25% of the time

Sitting within AWS Data Center Operations, the Full-Time Training Team is responsible for implementing world-class training programs for the various Data Center Operations teams, to include DCEO, DCO, ID, Decom, and Logistics.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- 2+ years of direct people management, including managing managers or senior individual contributors experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in project, program or product management with focus on technical education programs
- Experience in operations management
- 4+ years of leading training, technical instruction, or maintenance operations programs at a regional or multi-site level experience
- 4+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
- Experience in curriculum development for international technical support organizations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Engineering, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Experience leading training organizations or programs at a national or network scale
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) strategy, governance, and reporting
- Experience using data and metrics to influence senior leadership and drive organizational change
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or experience in project management
- Experience with instructional design, curriculum architecture, or training program development

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
