Job description

Dick Hannah Dealerships is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Personnel team member to join our fast‑paced, high‑volume Parts Department. This role supports multiple income streams, including retail, wholesale, shop, and online sales channels. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-energy environment, is highly organized, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities while delivering excellent customer service.

Parts Personnel Compensation and Benefits: 

Automotive Parts Personnel Competitive Pay: 1.5% commission of parts gross profits, wholesale gross profit, and retail gross profit. Average monthly compensation of $5,000-$8000.

Generous Paid Time Off (PTO): We prioritize work-life balance, offering industry-leading PTO. New full-time employees accrue 4 hours per pay period, totaling approximately 96 hours in the first year, with increases over time.

Paid Holidays: Hannah Motor Company offers at least 5 paid holidays per year to the Parts Personnel subject to completion of the introductory period and other eligibility requirements as per company policy. 

Parts Personnel Responsibilities: 

  • Assist retail and shop customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
  • Support a high‑volume parts operation with multiple revenue streams
  • Inform customers of companion parts, specials, and full product offerings
  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide accurate price quotes and information
  • Pull, fill, and stage parts orders from inventory
  • Receive, unpack, and properly store incoming materials and supplies
  • Report damaged or incorrect shipments for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping
  • Notify the Parts Manager of out-of-stock items requiring immediate attention
  • Source out-of-stock parts from outside vendors and submit emergency orders when needed
  • Notify service advisors and customers when special-order parts arrive
  • Track and follow up on back-ordered parts
  • Ensure all internal parts requests are properly billed on service repair orders
  • Maintain clean, organized front and rear counter areas
  • Participate in all available training programs
  • Stay current on new products, systems, and product updates

Parts Personnel Qualifications: 

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
  • Comfortable using computer hardware and software systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with CDK Dealership Management Software
  • Experience managing online parts sales channels
  • Previous experience selling parts through eBay and Amazon is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with digital inventory systems and e‑commerce platforms
