Warehouse Manager (Bilingual in English and Chinese, Chinese is a plus, not necessary)

Discovery SCM is a company with various locations in the US and globally and is seeking an attention-to-detail, reliable, and hardworking Warehouse Manager for our Ontario, CA, logistics team.

We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to supervise the receipt, dispatching, and storage of merchandise in our warehouse. The warehouse manager will oversee picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, sanitation, and administrative functions

To ensure success, you need to have the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and perform your duties in a manner that maximizes profits and simplifies work processes

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, lead and participate in the operations and activities of the warehouse

• Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other department supervisors

• Implement operational policies and procedures

• Maintain staff by recruiting, orienting and training employees to meet Discovery SCM standards

• Oversee tracking of all incoming and outgoing freight deliveries: UPS, FedEx, Amazon, DHL etc.

• Organize and maintain warehouse appearance, and functionality and observe health and safety regulations.

• Completes necessary Activity Reports for management

• Coordinates with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations

• Conducts performance appraisals of employees

• Attends regular and called meetings as required

• Supervises the work of Shipping & Receiving, Inventory Control, Safety Protocols, Warehouse Operations, etc., directly.

• Maintains consistent communication with the Customer Service team and Field Managers regarding new items, change of brand names, changes of location, count, etc.

• Assists warehouse and field techs in locating items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers.

• Oversees the activities and job assignments of warehouse workers;

• Prepares performance appraisals in conjunction with the Field Operations Manager.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree is required

· 10+ years of warehouse management experience

· Supervised a team of 30+ employees

· Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures

· Ability to operate a Forklift & Pallet Jack effectively

· Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Windows 11

· Strong people and organizational skills

· Proficient knowledge of inventory, inventory controls, and automation

· Ability to move 50+ more lbs

· Follow standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations

· Knowledge of space utilization and inventory techniques

· Excellent organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
