Cloud Administrator
Pivotal Health
Fargo, ND (On Site) This is not a remote role and you must live in the Fargo area.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Position Summary
Pivotal Health is seeking a Cloud Administrator to help scale, secure, and optimize our environment as we continue to grow. This role will serve as the primary point of responsibility for cloud systems, working closely with IT teams and leadership to design, implement, and maintain cloud based solutions that support our nationwide healthcare operations.
This is a hands on role ideal for someone who thrives in an environment where they can build, improve, and own the cloud ecosystem while collaborating with a broader team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own day to day administration of cloud environments, primarily Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, identity services, and resource allocation
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security across all cloud platforms
  • Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and compliance standards
  • Support, test, and implement disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on cloud architecture, strategy, and long term scalability
  • Partner with engineering, software development, and compliance teams
  • Manage cost optimization initiatives and provide visibility into cloud spend
  • Automate deployments and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools
  • Support integrations with internal systems such as ADP, HealthStream, and other business critical platforms
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide escalation support for infrastructure related incidents
  • Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations

Qualifications
Required
  • 1-2 years of experience in cloud administration or cloud engineering
  • Hands on experience with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, VPNs, firewalls, and DNS
  • Experience with identity and access management, including IAM, Azure AD, and SSO
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high availability environments

Preferred
  • Experience in healthcare or HIPAA compliant environments
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or similar
  • Experience with virtualization and hybrid environments
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and software development
  • Experience with monitoring tools
