Salary: $80,000 - $125,000 annually

Were looking for an Integration Specialist or Integration Developer who is fascinated by building or implementing no-code / low-code solutions that are configurable and easily supported. You might have a qualification in software engineering, geomatics, or computer science, but you definitely have a passion for data and ensuring that customers can access and exchange data through our integration solutions in aviation, cities and towns, and buildings and campuses that power real change. Youll also be a friendly, driven self-starter who can work autonomously we were always a remote-only operation, and the pandemic has only made our work easier to manage and deliver remotely.


Note that you will not be creating maps, doing geospatial analysis, or doing other traditional GIS work. You will be transforming, relating, combining, and moving data (and potentially geospatial data) as part of integration of applications.


Responsibilities

  • Develop data integrations, ETL workflows and automations using (primarily) FME
  • Take part in business requirements gathering and design activities. Review client data and systems.
  • Develop custom libraries, web services and applications using a variety of programming languages/frameworks and cloud technologies
  • Deliver training sessions to clients on the use and administration of implemented data integrations
  • Provide estimates for the level of effort required to complete statements of work
  • Support our managed integration services, troubleshoot and resolve reported issues
  • Highly desirable: Develop custom components in Salesforce using Lightning
  • Develop custom GIS Javascript clients leveraging Leaflet or OpenLayers that interface with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, or the ArcGIS Platform-as-a-Service

This position requires the following certifications or combinations:

  • Technical experience specific to spatial data management and GIS software or services development
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Geomatics or other technical domain, with specific academic training in Geographic Information Systems (GIS);
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • An advanced degree (Masters / Ph.D.) or multiple discipline degrees are highly desirable, particularly in math, science, and engineering.
  • Certifications in cloud infrastructure and/or Agile / Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable


Required skills and abilities:

  • API Integration or Application Integration
  • API design and specification
  • Integration technologies (Mulesoft, Talend, SnapLogic) - FME (Safe Software) is considered a plus as it is the platform we implement and build our products upon
  • Esri or Hexagon GIS implementation or development experience
  • Familiarity with current GIS technologies and formats including Esri, GeoJSON, PostGIS, vector tiles, etc.
  • Software development processes (Agile, SDLC, source control) and languages (Python, Java, C#, NodeJS)
  • Strong knowledge of web service technologies and data formats (JSON, XML)
  • ETL development; Safe FME platform experience and/or certification is preferred.
  • Salesforce.com development (Lightning, APEX), and certification as a Salesforce Developer or Architect is a plus
  • Database technologies (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Cloud infrastructure and services design and management (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Compute), ideally with a certification as a consultant or architect on one of these services
  • Knowledge and familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and DevOps required
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and explain them to customer and professional services audiences (mostly technical)
  • Experience in a consulting role working on projects with fixed scope, timelines and budgets

Total Compensation:

  • Base Salary: dependent on your experience, ranges from $80,000 - $125,000
  • Short-Term Value Sharing: our employee profit-sharing plan redistributes 20% of company profits to employees, pro-rated to your salary
  • Long-Term Value Sharing: enrollment in our planned Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The vestment period for this position is 24 months.
