What are Amazon Restaurants?

Amazon Restaurants was a food delivery service launched by Amazon that allowed customers to order meals from local restaurants and have them delivered to their doorsteps. The service operated in select cities in the United States and the United Kingdom, aiming to compete with other food delivery platforms like Uber Eats and Grubhub. However, Amazon Restaurants was discontinued in the United States in June 2019 and in the UK in November 2018 due to strong competition and shifting company priorities. While the service is no longer available, Amazon continues to explore opportunities in the food and grocery delivery sector through other initiatives like Amazon Fresh and partnerships with companies like Deliveroo.
