The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting secure cloud environments, developing repeatable infrastructure patterns, improving deployment workflows, and helping engineering teams deliver workloads more efficiently. This role will work closely with Cloud Engineers, Solutions Architects, Cybersecurity Professionals, and customer stakeholders to design, deploy, troubleshoot, and improve secure AWS-based platform services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist application and engineering teams with onboarding workloads to platform services and standardized deployment patterns
  • Support containerized workload deployments using technologies such as Docker, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, and AWS Fargate
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, pipeline, container, networking, permissions, and deployment issues across development, test, and production environments
  • Develop scripts and automation to reduce manual operational tasks and improve consistency, reliability, and delivery speed
  • Help maintain platform services related to monitoring, logging, access control, configuration management, patching, and operational support
  • Work with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure platform services and automation align with security, governance, and customer requirements
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new tools, technologies, and engineering practices that improve platform reliability and developer experience
  • Document technical designs, deployment procedures, runbooks, reusable patterns, and operational processes

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust

  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification, or ability to obtain within the first 60 days
  • Current AWS certification, or ability to obtain within the first 90 days
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, systems administration, infrastructure automation, or a related technical role
  • Hands-on experience with AWS environments and core services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Security Groups, RDS, EFS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Systems Manager
  • Working experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar technologies
  • Experience developing, maintaining, or supporting CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar platforms
  • Hands-on experience with containerization concepts and tools such as Docker, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, or AWS Fargate
  • Proficiency with scripting or automation using Shell, PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript
  • Ability to work and produce results in an agile, fast-paced environment with dynamic deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical processes and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Git-based workflows, branching strategies, merge requests, and code reviews
  • Familiarity with YAML and JSON for infrastructure, pipeline, and configuration definitions
  • Understanding of orchestration and automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab, AWS Systems Manager, or similar technologies
