Principal Software Engineer - DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Software organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL. In this role you will design, develop, integrate and test software for our end-user customers and businesses.

Specifically, you will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure tools and data for the Aircraft Ground Systems team. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as with Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test, in an Agile software development environment. You will analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.

Essential Functions: Work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels Participate in the full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery of software products to our customers Manage cloud infrastructure tools and data. Manage and improve container orchestration and deployment strategies. Develop tools to manage continuous integration, software stack support, code quality and coverage.

Ensure and develop tools for monitoring security, privacy, and integrity of data and other resources. Setup an overall Cloud-native Software Factory Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 8 years of related experience; OR Masters degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of related experience; OR PhD with 4 year of related experience Ability to implement software and scripts in one or more programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Go, PowerShell, VBScript, Bash, AND/OR KornShell. Knowledge of at least one of the following Cloud technologies and service providers: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft (MS) Azure, Google Cloud.

Knowledge of Defining Roadmap, Architecting, Designing, Implementing Cyber Remediation AND Cyber Compliance (Risk Management Framework - RMF). Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment

Preferred Qualifications: Experience AND/OR Certification with cloud and container management & security technologies such as: VMWare, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Redhat OpenShift, Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Nomad. Recent Demonstrated Experience Defining Roadmap, Architecting, Designing, Implementing Cyber Remediation AND Cyber Compliance (Risk Management Framework - RMF). Recent Demonstrated Experience Architecting, Designing, Implementing, Maintaining, and Administrating micro-services for Cloud and Application Systems tracing to user/system requirements using cloud services such as: Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).

Recent Demonstrated Professional Experience with one of the following continuous deployment systems: Octopus, ArgoCD, CodeStream, EletricFlow, AWS AND/OR CodePipeline. Experience working in an Agile Framework Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
