An Amazon Product Reviewer evaluates and reviews products sold on Amazon, sharing their honest opinions through detailed feedback. This role may involve receiving free or discounted products in exchange for impartial reviews, but it is important to follow Amazon's review policies. Some reviewers work independently, while others may collaborate with brands or third-party programs. The goal is to help shoppers make informed purchasing decisions by providing authentic insights.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Amazon Product Reviewer position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Amazon Product Reviewer, you need strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of e-commerce and consumer trends. Familiarity with online review platforms, basic photo or video editing tools, and Amazon's product review guidelines is often helpful. Creativity, objectivity, and time management are important soft skills for consistently producing engaging and trustworthy reviews. These abilities ensure reviews are both informative and credible, helping consumers make educated purchase decisions and building your reputation as a reliable reviewer.

Does Amazon hire product reviewers?

Amazon occasionally hires product reviewers through its Vine Voices program, which invites trusted reviewers to receive free products in exchange for honest reviews. These reviewers are often selected based on their reviewer history and helpfulness ratings, and participation is typically voluntary. There are also third-party companies that hire freelance product reviewers to write detailed assessments, but Amazon itself does not regularly employ reviewers as full-time staff.

How do I become a paid product reviewer?

To become a paid product reviewer, you can join companies or platforms that connect reviewers with brands, such as influencer marketing networks or review programs. Building a credible online presence, demonstrating honest and detailed reviews, and adhering to platform guidelines can increase your chances of earning compensation for your reviews.

What does a typical day look like for an Amazon Product Reviewer?

As an Amazon Product Reviewer, your typical day involves receiving and testing new products, carefully evaluating their quality and features, and composing honest, detailed written reviews. You may also need to capture high-quality photos or short videos to accompany your feedback and manage communication with brands or sellers. Work is usually independent and can be done remotely, offering flexibility but requiring strong self-motivation. Collaborating with fellow reviewers or keeping up with review community standards can also be important for professional growth and credibility in the field.

How much do Amazon reviewers get paid?

Amazon product reviewers are typically not paid for their reviews; most review for free or in exchange for discounts or free products. Some third-party platforms or companies may offer compensation, but earnings vary widely and are usually modest. Reviewers often do so as a hobby or to share opinions rather than as a primary income source.

Job description

As a Senior Product Manager - Technical for Amazon Device Solutions (ADS), you will own AI as a durable product surface across Amazon Signage products. You will translate an existing strategic point of view on AI into a roadmap, ship features that move customer outcomes, and become the person Amazon Signage points to when customers and partners ask "what is your AI story."
This role is central to the next phase of the platform. AI features will determine which signage providers are still relevant in three years and which are commoditized

You will be responsible for distinguishing differentiators from table stakes, build the customer-grounded case for what to ship and when, and partner deeply with engineering on the architectural decisions that make an AI-native platform possible. Your success will be measured by adoption of AI features, the customer outcomes they drive, and the durable competitive moat they establish for Amazon Signage.
This role requires a rare combination of AI product depth, customer immersion, and architectural judgment. You will work alongside engineering teams in the US and other countries, GTM specialists, channel partners, and senior leadership to define and deliver an AI product surface that customers buy into and competitors cannot match.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the AI product surface end-to-end - translate the existing AI strategic POV into a 12-18 month roadmap, define which features ship and in what order, and own launch, adoption, and post-launch performance
- Serve as Voice of the Customer for AI by interacting directly with businesses running signage networks, IT decision makers, and channel partners; distinguish stated AI requests from underlying customer outcomes that drive purchase and renewal
- Make crisp build/buy/wait decisions across an accelerating set of AI capabilities, separating durable differentiators from table-stakes features that should be acquired or deferred
- Partner with engineering at the architecture level - participate in design reviews, probe scalability, latency, on-device vs

cloud trade-offs, model selection, and AI-specific failure modes including hallucination, drift, and privacy
- Define API and data requirements for AI features, including how external partners (CMS partners, advertisers, screen owners) integrate with AI capabilities
- Author PR/FAQs, six-pagers, and OP1/OP2 narratives for AI investments; drive senior leadership alignment on AI strategy and resource allocation
- Develop the playbook for AI-native digital signage - define what an AI-native platform looks like and what that means for partners building on top of Amazon Signage
- Establish success metrics that distinguish output (feature adoption) from outcome (customer manageability, audience insight, cost reduction, content effectiveness)
- Coordinate AI feature requirements with internal teams across engineering, design, GTM, and partner channels, both in the US and oversea
- Recruit, mentor, and develop other product managers on the team as the AI product organization grows
A day in the life
Your day begins with a check-in on the latest customer conversations - what enterprise IT teams told the GTM specialists yesterday, what channel partners are asking for, what came in via support escalations. You spend the morning in customer discovery: a live call with a 200-store retail chain piloting audience-aware content, then a working session with a Lab126 engineering team on edge inference latency targets.
After lunch you review a vendor pitch for a new generative content tool, decide it's table-stakes and not worth a build, and walk the team through the reasoning. Mid-afternoon you sit in an architecture review where you push back on a proposed AI orchestration pattern that introduces hallucination risk on customer-facing signage

You end the day drafting a section of the AI six-pager for the OP1 narrative, send it to your manager, and check tomorrow's customer pipeline.
You will gather business and functional requirements from customers. This person owns the overall AI product roadmap and strategy while balancing daily execution of product reviews, customer engagement, demand planning, and more. This person will thrive by working independently with large, cross functional teams inside/outside Amazon

This PMT will enjoy creating clarity and transparency in ambiguous situations, and the end-to-end ownership over product development strategy and execution.
About the team
Team members are enthusiastic, friendly and supportive. As a global team, we work very closely with internal and external teams for small medium business and enterprise solutions. Our team has a broad mix of experience levels and Amazon tenures, and we're building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing, mentorship and high quality work

We're excited to build and launch new solutions from the ground up together as one team.
