Job description

Build the future of luxury shopping at Amazon. As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will develop and manage strategic partnerships that expand the luxury brands available to our customers. This role offers the opportunity to work with prestigious global fashion and beauty brands while contributing to Amazon's growing presence in the luxury industry.
You will execute against a strategic roadmap, identifying partnership opportunities and building relationships with luxury brand executives. Your deep knowledge of luxury retail, combined with a solution-oriented approach, will enable you to navigate the unique challenges of bringing luxury brands to Amazon customers. Success requires balancing brand expectations with customer needs while designing creative approaches to complex problems.
In this role, you will manage the full partnership lifecycle-from initial outreach through negotiation and ongoing relationship management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless brand onboarding and contribute insights that inform the broader luxury strategy.
Key job responsibilities
Partnership Development & Management
• Identify, evaluate, and pursue partnership opportunities with luxury fashion and beauty brands that align with strategic priorities
• Manage detailed brand engagement plans, leading negotiations that result in new brand launches and expanded selection
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives at luxury brands, establishing trust and credibility
• Execute against quarterly and annual partnership targets
Strategic Contribution
• Apply deep knowledge of luxury trends and competitive dynamics to inform business development prioritization
• Contribute to the development of long-term strategy for luxury brand acquisition and growth
• Participate in strategic initiatives that strengthen Amazon's position within the luxury community
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with merchandising, marketing, operations, and legal teams to ensure successful brand launches and ongoing partnership health
• Analyze category P&L inputs to identify opportunities and optimize partnership terms
• Drive internal alignment on partnership priorities and execution plans
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
- Experience with business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
- MBA
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
