Job description

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we've designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
As the SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) Functional, you design end-to-end warehouse solutions, enhance, and support EWM focused on process design and solution architecture. You integrate with SAP PP (Production Planning), MM (Materials Management), QM (Quality Management), and MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to deliver cohesive warehouse processes across production, procurement, and distribution. You collaborate with product managers, customers, and stakeholders across the organization to develop standard process designs. These systems drive scalability and cost-effective warehousing for satellite and ground gateway terminal manufacturing. To succeed you must be highly motivated, detail oriented, and an effective communicator with strong analytical skills.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and maintain the warehouse management roadmap with product managers, customers, and stakeholders across the organization
Design, configure, test, deploy, and support SAP S/4HANA EWM solutions covering inbound, outbound, internal movements, putaway, picking, packing, staging, replenishment, VAS (Value Added Services), quality inspections, and inventory management
Perform fit/gap assessments, feasibility studies, and design reviews to finalize functional specifications
Lead process mapping, value stream analysis, and gap identification; implement process improvements and mitigation strategies for warehouse and logistics challenges
Possess strong understanding of integration points between EWM and SAP PP, QM, MM, SD (Sales & Distribution), MES, GTS (Global Trade Services), TM (Transportation Management), IBP (Integrated Business Planning), and MDG (Master Data Governance)
Drive process standardization, solution templates, and integration patterns across multiple facilities, business units, or geographies
Manage sprint planning, deployment, and define success metrics, product adoption KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and process efficiency measures
Configure, test, and support implementation for all SAP RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) areas
Monitor warehouse processes and integrations for failures; drive corrective actions and conduct regular system reviews with findings and recommendations
Provide guidance, training, and support to end users, project teams, and junior consultants on warehouse processes
A day in the life
You collaborate with product managers, customers, and stakeholders across the organization to design and optimize SAP EWM solutions that improve inventory & warehouse management, factory fulfillment, and distribution operations. You drive end-to-end process design - from fit/gap assessment through configuration, testing, and deployment - ensuring solutions scale across multiple facilities through configuration only. You work with developers and consulting partners to solution, prioritize, and deliver projects to completion while maintaining alignment with SAP best practices and the long-term product roadmap.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- Experience in Logistics, Distribution or Fulfillment processes
- Knowledge of mobile technologies, products and tools
- 6+ years of SAP EWM implementation & configuration experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years' hands-on experience in Warehouse Projects within Manufacturing Operations using SAP EWM/WM
- Strong configuration in Deliveries, Batch Management, Serialization, Production Integration, QM Integration, Wave Management, Putaway/Stock Removal Strategies, PPF (Post Processing Framework), Replenishment, Physical Inventory, Kitting, Slotting & Rearrangement, Cartonization, and Packing/Staging
- Integration experience with SAP PP, MM, SD, MES, TM, GTS, and knowledge of SAP systems architecture (S/4HANA, Business Suite, BW, HANA)
- Basic ABAP understanding and debugging skills
- Experience of working in Aerospace/Defense industries and in ITAR environments
- SAP EWM Certification
- Experience with Labour Management, Yard Management, Cross Docking, VAS, and Production Supply

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
