Your Mission:

As a Sales Engineer at AfterShip, you will play a critical role in launching and scaling our Omnichannel product, one of the company's most important strategic bets. Your primary objective is to support revenue growth and product adoption by partnering closely with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to clearly articulate AfterShip's value, capabilities, and technical fit.

You will act as a trusted technical advisor and hands-on builder, partnering with Account Executives, Customer Success, and Product to validate, shape, and deliver solutions for mid-market and enterprise customers.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing role within AfterShip's Omnichannelteam, reporting to the Strategic GTM Lead. You will collaborate regularly with colleagues across North America, and APAC. Some meetings outside of local business hours are required to support global alignment; these are planned in advance with consideration for schedules and work-life balance.


What You'll Do:

  • Technical Discovery & Solutioning Engage prospects in a consultative, discovery-led approach
  • Understand business goals, technical architecture, and operational constraints
  • Translate requirements into scalable solution designs
  • Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities and drive technical wins
  • Design and deliver tailored demos, solution walkthroughs, and POCs
  • Assess technical fit, risks, and implementation readiness
  • Work directly with APIs, integrations, and data flows to validate real-world use cases
  • Troubleshoot complex technical challenges across systems (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop)
  • Develop creative workarounds and scalable solutions in ambiguous scenarios
  • Define solution architecture, workflows, and success criteria pre-onboarding
  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure smooth transition and implementation clarity
  • Contribute to SOWs and implementation planning where needed
  • Act as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering


Who We're Looking For:

  • 4+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting within B2B SaaS
  • Proven experience supporting customer-facing technical discovery, evaluations, and implementations for mid-market or enterprise customers
  • Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and data flows (REST, webhooks, JSON), with the ability to validate real-world use cases
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting multi-system integrations across platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, ERP/OMS systems)
  • Familiarity with modern SaaS architectures and event-driven workflows
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts, trade-offs, and solution designs to both technical and business stakeholders

  • Hands-on experience building, testing, and troubleshooting solutions in complex, cross-system environments
  • Highly resourceful, adaptable, and solutions-oriented; thrives in ambiguity and fast-changing environments
  • Comfortable working across multiple channels, systems, and data sources to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Collaboration & GTM
  • Experience partnering with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to support deal cycles and implementations
  • Ability to manage multiple customer engagements and operate effectively in a global, distributed team
  • Experience with eCommerce, logistics, or marketplace ecosystems (Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop)
  • Exposure to backend/frontend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Java, React) and ability to collaborate with engineering
  • Familiarity with security, privacy, or data compliance (e.g., GDPR)
  • Mandarin proficiency strongly preferred

Salary range for this role: CAD $130,000 - $175,000 OTE
