Job description

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world.
The Director of Production Operations, Amazon Leo is seeking an experienced, multitasking, and self-motivated Lead Executive Assistant. This role requires superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple critical requests. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside the company is important, as is emotional intelligence, kindness, and a good sense of humor. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with minimal guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, take effective action with strong ambiguity, and show grace under pressure.
Key job responsibilities
• Proactive coordination and engagement with leadership in planning and organizing events, activities, and business cycle calendars.
• Management of complex calendar and scheduling requirements.
• End-to-end management of security requirements for internal and external visitors.
• Tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables and following up on action items.
• Act as a liaison for direct reports.
• Drive key team activity logistics such as staff meeting agendas, off-sites, and all-org meetings.
• Space planning oversight; management of supporting EA/space administrator.
• Travel coordination and expense reimbursement.
• Management of special projects as needed.
• Have fun at work and help others do the same.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
A day in the life
This position requires onsite presence in both our Redmond and Kirkland offices, as you will be supporting two Directors across both locations. But don't worry-we've got you covered with a convenient shuttle service between offices, so you can focus on what matters most while we handle the commute!
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 5+ years of senior level leadership support experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
- Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency
- Experience with end-to-end project management

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
