Could you be the full-time Network and Connectivity Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA, US we're looking for?
Your future role
Contributor to support N&C Sub-System project deployment activities (Design, Installation, Test & Commissioning)
Key accountabilities
  • Support the Projects Engineering team to ensure that the correct technical governance is being applied (e.g. suitable design and expert input, defining and enforcing architecture/métier standards, methodologies, processes, tools and solution frameworks against which projects can deliver) - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency; and outwardly on its coherence with other solutions/métiers and standards.
  • Review the technical input and subject matter expertise of the proposed design, covering areas such as the definition of requirements compliance, functional fit, technological capability, cost, and delivery capability
  • Assess the feasibility of the proposed solution (performance, delivery model and organizational fit), and propose mitigation plans
  • Engages with projects to ensure technical risks are being identified and managed
  • Chair Design Reviews for subject matter in his/her field of critical developments and projects
  • Ensure the implementation of generic products and systems by multi-project synergies in order to optimize cost of technical solutions.
  • Propose return of experience as required in answer to the business strategy of his/her field, with a constant preoccupation to make optimization on the company portfolio and internal processes.
  • Maintain view of industry and standards, and domain technical watch to guide orientation with market trends.

  • Bachelor's degree in Science (Mathematics and/or Physics or IT)
  • 10 years of total engineering/project experience
  • 1 year experience in Design/Engineering in communications field background
  • Experience of radio deployments in industrial environment, including interference mitigation (preferred)
  • Wifi protocol knowledge (preferred)
  • Proven experience on monitoring tools and techniques (spectrum analyzer, IP analyzer, mib principles, etc.) (preferred)
  • Knowledgeable of interpersonal skills
  • 4G/5G knowledge (preferred)
  • Resilience (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge and experience on Radio propagation and on Radio solutions with a specific focus on Wifi deployments (802.11a/b/n/ac) (preferred)
  • Experience in IT/Supervision is an add-on
  • Signaling and system architecture is an add-on
  • Rigorous, process oriented
  • Team player
  • Result oriented
