Want to help people around the world read more and get more out of reading. Join the Amazon Books Legal team.
In this role, you'll be the primary lawyer for Books subscription programs like Kindle Unlimited.

Working directly with the business, you'll provide day-to-day and strategic advice on program development, content licensing, and regulatory and contractual compliance.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as primary legal counsel for Books subscription programs, including Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading
- Provide legal guidance on program development, pricing, and regulatory compliance
- Negotiate and draft content licensing agreements with rightsholders
- Manage consumer disputes and coordinate with outside counsel and internal litigation teams on pending litigation
- Partner with cross-functional teams (PR, public policy) on go-to-market strategies
- Advise on AI-powered features
