🚀 Help Brands Win on Amazon - Love Where You Work🚀 Support Amazon Compliance - and Love Where You Work

📍 Role: Compliance Specialist
📍 Location: San Diego, CA 92101 (Onsite at Symphony Towers)
💰 Compensation Range: $20–$25/hr ($41,600–$52,000 DOE)

At Luminize, we help brands win, and as one of the top 5 Amazon sellers in the US, keeping our accounts and our clients' accounts compliant is what keeps that growth possible. We're looking for a detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to help us stay ahead of Amazon policy changes and eCommerce regulatory requirements — protecting revenue and resolving issues before they become bigger problems.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Research laws and regulations tied to advertising, labeling, and selling consumer goods in interstate commerce, including FDA and EPA requirements
  • Open and manage cases with Amazon Seller Support to resolve account and listing compliance issues
  • Draft Amazon appeals, Plans of Action, and supporting documentation, and submit to management for approval
  • Analyze federal and state legislation, regulations, and Amazon policy updates, translating them into clear, actionable guidance for internal teams and clients
  • Manage daily deliverables across multiple clients and categories, meeting accuracy, quality control, and brand standards
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal departments and clients on compliance-related questions
  • Partner with the brand management team and department managers to implement proactive compliance measures
  • Stay current on Amazon policy changes and regulatory requirements to keep skills sharp and guidance accurate

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in a regulatory or compliance role is a plus; eCommerce or digital content experience preferred
  • Comfortable reading, interpreting, and clearly communicating regulatory and compliance language
  • Sound judgment handling confidential information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, and Google Sheets
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills

🏙 You'll be based in Symphony Towers, one of San Diego's premier office spaces that offers:

  • Panoramic city and coastline views from your workspace
  • Free building gym access, no separate membership needed
  • Exclusive discounts at tower restaurants and cafes
  • Secure bike storage
  • 24/7 paid parking downtown, blocks from the office
  • Steps from 100+ top-rated bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and Petco Park

🛋️ An Office You'll Actually Want to Be In

  • Ergonomic standing desks and premium workstations
  • Fully stocked kitchen, snacks, espresso
  • Monthly all-company lunches to celebrate wins and stay connected
  • A team lounge with pool table and games for when you need a break
  • Bright, modern, collaborative space designed for focus and connection

🎁 Benefits & Perks

  • Comprehensive medical coverage, choose from multiple plans through Anthem Blue Cross
  • Dental & vision, including orthodontia and annual exams
  • Pet benefits, savings on vet care, products, and services
  • Paid vacation, accrue up to 120 hours a year, with rollover
  • Paid holidays and sick time
  • 401(k) with company match — we invest in your future, too
  • Benefits begin on the first of the month after your hire date

💵 Compensation Transparency
We've listed a broad hourly range of $20–$25/hr to account for varying levels of experience and skill sets. Where you land in the range will depend on how your background aligns with this role. We're committed to compensating based on value and impact, not just years on paper, and we're happy to have open conversations throughout the process.

📈 Growth & Career Opportunities at Luminize
At Luminize, growth isn't just something we drive for our clients, it's our mindset and a big priority for our people. We offer clear career paths and leveling guidelines so you always know where you stand, what's next, and what skills and experience you need to get there. We're proud of our strong track record of promoting from within — many of our team leads and managers started in individual contributor roles and grew by consistently showing initiative, curiosity, and impact. We only hire externally when needed, because we believe the best future leaders are often already here.

You'll also benefit from:

  • Mentorship from experienced managers during 1:1s and annual performance reviews
  • Cross-functional exposure to departments including content, brand management, software, supply chain, operations, and catalog
  • Learning resources, including Udemy course access, and additional training programs and courses
  • A culture that encourages asking questions, trying new things, and leveling up together
