Amazon LEO is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems. This role is hands-on and focused on rapid fault isolation, preventive maintenance execution, safe repair practices, and supporting team capability through on-the-job knowledge sharing.
Key job responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems to minimize equipment downtime
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, servos, conveyors, VFDs, PLC-connected equipment, and automation systems
Execute repairs on electrical systems in compliance with NEC and OSHA standards
Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for maintenance and repair activities
Assist in electrical cross-training and peer mentoring of maintenance technicians
Partner with engineering and operations on equipment upgrades, repairs, and reliability improvements
Use troubleshooting skills to identify and prevent possible problems/failures, and to systematically and intelligently make repairs
Incorporate relevant technical literature into the understanding of system operation and coordinate efforts with other technicians involved in installing or maintaining equipment or components
Install, repair, adjust, and test equipment and components to ensure that systems function properly
Communicate with machine operators, and operate equipment to detect equipment problems, analyze malfunctions, and verify system problems
Observe and incorporate safety standards and regulations required for safe operation of the system Required Technical Skills:
Industrial machines, motors, servos, digital multi-meters, conveyor systems maintenance and repair
Power distribution systems and control panels
Fuses, contactors, relays, and electrical component replacement
Electrical schematic interpretation, P&ID and troubleshooting
Experience in common industrial power distribution
Understanding of PLC systems
Additional Requirements
Night shift (2nd shift) required. Candidates must be flexible across front half (Sunday-Wednesday), back half (Wednesday-Saturday), or Monday-Friday schedules
