Job description

Ultra Care Logistics LLC is an Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP) committed to its mission with Amazon to build the safest, most efficient, and sustainable fleet in the world. To help us achieve this mission, we are seeking an enthusiastic candidate with fleet management experience (preferably with Amazon) to assist our fleet manager to manage the operations of a delivery fleet of 70+ Amazon branded, and rental vehicles used to deliver Amazon packages. The Fleet Management's job is to make sure the vehicles are in excellent working conditions to enable the delivery associates perform their jobs. The successful candidate will streamline routes with drivers to keep costs down, but still deliver the highest level of service that customers are expecting.

Our Fleet Management team will also be responsible for meeting regularly with drivers, dispatchers, Amazon employees and our operations management team to discuss ways to meet or exceed the organization Delivery Excellence and Safety goals. We offer a friendly atmosphere where you can grow a long-term, fulfilling career.

This is a seasonal job with a full-time schedule of 5 working days, from 9am-6pm (with 1 hour lunch), but hours may vary depending on business need.

Fleet Management Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the fleet are clean and in excellent working conditions before the daily load-out and may assist with daily load-out when necessary.
  • Track and ensure preventive maintenance are performed on all vans per schedule by leasing vendors and ensure all Vehicle registrations are up to date. Develop spreadsheet or other App to track maintenance of Vans.
  • Responsible for scheduling and taking vans to licensed dealers/auto shops for preventive maintenance, repairs or any other required servicing.
  • Working with Amazon Preferred Rental Partners (PRP) to negotiate pricing on van rentals and to secure rentals during Prime and Peak seasons, or when necessary.
  • Collaborating with the Amazon Regional Fleet Manager and Central Operations team to carry out the organization Fleet Management objectives and to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Ensuring new vans are fueled up or charged up (for Electric Delivery Vans) and fully equipped with required items required for deliveries.
  • Collaborate with the Dispatch and Safety Manager to ensure the organization is consistently meeting its Delivery Excellence and Safety Objectives.
  • Document damages to vans and providing cost efficient solutions to fix damage.
  • Perform weekly audit and inspection of all vans to ensure all Vans have the proper documents including Proof of Insurance, DOT Documentation, LeasePlan & Rental company Maintenance Schedules etc.
  • Verifying all vans are updated in Amazon Portal to be fully functioning for fleet needs.
  • Working with Insurance company to add new vans to policy or delete Vans removed from fleet. Also review monthly fleet Bills from insurance, rental companies, Element and LeasePlan for accuracy.
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Required. Must be able to develop and maintain schedules on spread sheet and word.
  • Prior Fleet Management experience required and working knowledge of car engines and Parts with ability to do minor repairs- change tires, bulbs and tightening loose screws.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that will allow professional interactions with Drivers, the operations management team and Amazon employees.
