Dispatcher

As a dispatcher, you will lead day-to-day operations, coordinating delivery drivers, routes, and packages to ensure orders are delivered efficiently and on time.

Location: Plymouth, MA

Work Shifts: Approximately 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., 3.5 days per week. Schedule options include:

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and a half-day Wednesday (mid-shift handoff), or

Half-day Wednesday (mid-shift handoff), Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Responsibilities:
  • Assign delivery routes to drivers and ensure proper route coverage
  • Monitor driver progress throughout the day using dispatch systems
  • Manage call-outs, delays, and on-road emergencies
  • Communicate real-time updates to drivers via phone and delivery apps
  • Track and adjust routes based on traffic, weather, and operational needs
  • Ensure all packages are delivered or properly accounted for
  • Monitor delivery performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, completion rates)
  • Identify and report issues such as missed stops, delays, or damaged packages
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers during shifts
  • Support drivers by troubleshooting delivery issues in real time
  • Provide guidance for complex or challenging delivery situations
  • Coordinate "rescues" by reallocating drivers to assist with overloaded routes
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to resolve package or routing issues
  • Handle customer delivery concerns and escalate issues as needed
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Amazon DSP dispatching experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in logistics, dispatch, or delivery operations
