Job description

Gupta Media was founded over 25 years ago on the idea that advertising could create huge leverage in our clients' businesses. Our work initially focused on the entertainment industry, specifically live events and recorded music (SXSW, Sony Music, Universal Music, and Disney Music Group are all clients). We have grown to include global brands (Amazon, Sophia Learning), major sports franchises (X Games, Florida Panthers, Washington Commanders, Cleveland Cavaliers, Women's Tennis Association), as well as public sector institutions (City of Boston, Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism).
We are on the hunt for a talented Data Analyst I to join our Strategy & Analytics team to assist with reporting, tracking, data analysis, advertising strategy, and visualization needs. In this role, you will work internally to assist paid media analysts with reporting requests and externally to provide clients with insights into their advertising campaigns.
The ideal candidate is inherently resourceful. We need someone who enjoys the "instruction manual" level of detail and views a technical hurdle as a problem to be solved rather than a roadblock. When you encounter a gap in your knowledge, you have the drive to research, test, and figure out the answer. We want someone who doesn't just want to run reports, but wants to build a better, faster version of them.
Who You Are:
  • You have no problem tearing apart complex problems and living inside spreadsheets, data sets, or documentation to find the answer to any question
  • You bring a strong technical toolkit, including SQL, Excel, Google Data Studio/Data Visualization, and enjoy working with SQL on a day-to-day basis
  • You are technically curious and resourceful. You have a natural ability to navigate and understand technical documentation-whether it's for an API, a piece of software, or a new platform-and use it to troubleshoot or build new solutions. Experience with Marketing APIs, BigQuery, Snowflake, ETL tools (Rivery, Supermetrics), or Python is a significant plus
  • You communicate with clarity. You can take the deep-dive technical work you do under the hood and explain the logic, the solution, and the results to a non-technical audience without losing the meaning
  • You have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 1 year of experience working with complex datasets, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Experience with marketing data or paid advertising is a plus

What You'll Do:
  • Analytics & Visualization: You will design and maintain customized dashboards that transform thousands of lines of data into clear, visual stories. You'll be responsible for translating complex performance media metrics into digestible, client-ready reports via Google Sheets, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Media Strategy: You will learn our clients' businesses inside and out to align their media strategy with overarching business goals. You'll identify advertising trends across projects to help guide media buying decisions and optimize spend.
  • Data Integrity: You will collaborate across teams to ensure our tracking and measurement frameworks are scalable, accurate, and best-in-class, acting as a bridge between raw data and strategy.
  • Strategic Consulting: You will use your understanding of concepts like LTV, ROAS, and Incremental Revenue to lead discussions with clients, gaining trust and shareholder buy-in on media strategy and results.

Work Environment

We offer a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and pet insurance; Flexible and Dependent Care Savings Accounts; a 401(k) with up to 5% Safe Harbor contributions; paid time off; paid family leave; commuting and wellness stipends; and opportunities for professional development and career growth.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
