Job description

Amazon MGM Studios Studio Content Services team intakes, optimizes, stores, distributes and preserves all content, whether Amazon Original or MGM, across all post-Theatrical releasing strategies. In addition to intaking, managing and launching hundreds of Original shows and Movies on Prime Video each year, Studio Content Services also fulfills externally, delivering Amazon MGM content to over 1000 external endpoints worldwide.
We're seeking a Content Operations Manager to support our global content workflows and drive operational excellence. This role will architect and implement standardized, cloud-based editorial workflows using AWS, replacing legacy systems with modern, automated solutions. The position focuses on developing comprehensive workflow specifications, technical documentation, and operational standards while optimizing our digital media supply chain. Success in this role requires orchestrating change across multiple teams, establishing best practices, and creating scalable processes that enhance content operations efficiency.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of our content operations, driving efficiency and innovation through standardized workflows and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong operational knowledge to deliver scalable, future-proof content workflows.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage the reception, validation, and storage of Post Production deliverables into Studios tooling and AWS cloud infrastructure (S3), ensuring all assets adhere to technical specifications, mandated file naming conventions, and pass quality control (QC) checks.
• Audit Post Production deliverables throughout all phases of production, archive, and wrap, working closely with internal teams to identify, flag, and track down missing or non-conforming deliverables.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Post Management, Delivery, and Technology teams to establish and communicate best practices, file transfer mechanisms, and Studio requirements for file/folder organization and structure within cloud-based storage environments.
• Establish and manage cloud infrastructure for the receipt and storage of Original Camera Files (OCF) and archival deliverables-including NAM, DSM, Editorial Project Files, and VFX - defining folder structures, file transfer mechanisms, and storage protocols
• Manage the delivery and receipt of final ProTools session files, coordinating audio validation and file integrity checks with third-party (3P) vendors, and overseeing the delivery of validated audio into Amazon MGM Studios Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
• Drive high-impact, complex initiatives that require cross-functional collaboration with multiple teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Adapt to evolving proprietary tooling and platforms by proactively learning, training, and integrating new systems into operational workflows.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on content operations processes, ensuring alignment between production workflows and downstream distribution requirements.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workflow guides to support team scalability and knowledge transfer.

You will join Studio Content Services, a mission-critical team that intakes, optimizes, stores, distributes and preserves all Amazon MGM Studios content across all post-Theatrical releasing strategies. Our team manages hundreds of Original shows and Movies on Prime Video each year and delivers Amazon MGM content to over 1000 external endpoints worldwide.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of episodic and film workflows technical experience
- 5+ years of coordination, project management, asset operations or post delivery experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience in production or post production processes and facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in coordination, project management, asset operations or post delivery
- Experience with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, UHD, HDR, and film workflows
- Knowledge of digital media assets, file sequence management and file formats required
- Ability to coordinate and track high volume of work through an end-to-end workflow
- Knowledge of Post Production, Delivery & Archive practices
- Experience managing multiple projects to meet aggressive delivery timelines
