Job description

The Tablet Data Foundations and Insights team is looking for motivated self-starters who can work in a fast paced, data-driven environment. The successful candidate will be an analytical problem solver, have an extremely high level of customer focus and a passion for data based recommendations and decision making.
As you further your career as a Business Intelligence Engineer with Amazon Devices, you will focus on improving the success of our business. You will analyze customer satisfaction, study behaviors that lead to high-value actions, discover and solve real world problems and build metrics and business cases to improve the customers experience. We are focused on your success and want to build strong leaders within our organization. You can expect to leverage your analytical skills and have full ownership of the projects you work on.
Successful candidates will demonstrate our leadership principles: a bias for action, deep dive, attention to details, ownership and customer-obsession.
Key job responsibilities
In this role you will:
• Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
• Put on your marketing cap to drive insights and action we can take to improve the customer experience
• Measure the key metrics of our business and propose/implement projects to improve these metrics
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of SQL, ETL or Oracle experience
- Experience writing complex SQL queries
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
