Job Description Innovative Outsourcing is currently partnering with our fast-growing client, ZonPrep, to identify a highly skilled, hands-on Controller to lead their finance function during a period of significant scale. Position: Full- Time Controller Company: ZonPrep Salary: $115,000-$130,000 plus benefits Location: Hybrid (Must be able to commute to McDonough, GA periodically) ZonPrep is a fast-growing, multi-facility third-party logistics (3PL) and Amazon FBA prep operation. The business is scaling rapidly, currently operating with a workforce of 125 employees and two warehouses with a footprint of approximately 200,000 square feet each.

They are seeking a financial leader to help us professionalize their finance department, build robust processes, and support their continued growth. The Role This is a hands-on, build-phase Controller role-not a high-level manager of a large team. You will be the primary owner of ZonPrep's books, responsible for establishing accounting policies and integrating systems that allow finance to scale with the business.

Your primary initiative will be leading the transition from cash to accrual accounting. Key Responsibilities Accounting Policy & Conversion: Lead the end-to-end conversion from cash to accrual accounting and establish foundational accounting policies. Financial Operations: Own the monthly close, bookkeeping, and the production of timely, accurate financial statements and management reporting.

Systems Management: Oversee the accounting configuration of our finance stack, including managing integration logic (e.g., Ramp/QuickBooks). Process Building: Create and document repeatable processes for accrual-basis bookkeeping and general financial workflow. Oversight & Mentorship: Manage AR/AP processes, including mentoring a Shared Services Associate to handle AP execution and expand into broader staff-accounting duties

Compliance: Coordinate with their external CPA for periodic review and tax compliance. Qualifications Experience: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a proven track record in a Controller or head-of-accounting capacity. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or a related field).

Technical Requirement: Must have personal, hands-on experience executing a cash-to-accrual accounting conversion and strong overall knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with modern spend/AP platforms (e.g., Ramp) is required. Licensure: CPA license preferred

Mindset: You are a "builder" who thrives in a hands-on environment. You are comfortable working in a fast-moving operation where you are the primary finance function and partner closely with operations leadership. Tactical & Strategic: A "roll-up-your-sleeves" mindset is essential.

You must be comfortable managing the daily transactional details while maintaining the ability to think strategically about scaling the finance function. Operations Mindset: A strong understanding of operational finance is critical, specifically within a high-volume, inventory-heavy, or logistics environment. Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Benefits ZonPrep offers a competitive benefits package, including employer-paid health benefits covering 85% of premiums, a 401(k) plan with company match, and Paid Time Off (PTO).
