Job description

The Workplace Health and Safety Global Mobility (WGM) team ensures associate safety through prevention-focused design in Amazon's new buildings. We specialize in three critical operational areas: Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operations, Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) systems, and Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV) integration. This role directly impacts associate safety by implementing safety standards at the design phase, reducing operational risks through preventive measures, maintaining operational efficiency while prioritizing safety, and creating standardized safety protocols across global operations.

Analyze business requirements, throughput calculations, and simulation results to validate design safety
Partner with WGM teams and powered industrial vehicle technology team in Operations Engineering to mitigate PIT, MEWP, and AGV related risks in new building designs
Ensure building layouts meet safety standards for PIT, MEWP, and AGV operations
Define and implement best practices with global Mobility subject matter experts

If you're passionate about this role and want to make an impact on a global scale, please apply.
About the team
The WGM team's vision is to set the global standard for mobile equipment safety excellence by integrating advanced technology, data analytics, and human-centered design. We create sustainable safety solutions that protect Amazon associates, optimize operations, and advance workplace safety innovation across our worldwide network.
