Job Description

The Media Trader role is a core executional pillar within Performance Marketing capability. This role exists to activate, optimize, and operate performance media programs with rigor and speed-turning strategy into measurable digital sales outcomes.

This role owns the day-to-day activation, in-platform management, pacing, optimization, and quality control of campaigns that support digital commerce growth for the Family Care organization.

Working closely with the Integrated Growth Leader, Retail Customer Teams, and national media traders, this role translates strategy into action by ensuring campaigns are launched accurately, managed consistently, optimized based on performance signals, and stewarded against governance and media buying standards.

Media Traders are deeply embedded in media platforms, data, and executional workflows, serving as the operating engine for performance delivery across retail media, eRetail search, paid social, programmatic, and affiliate ecosystems.

    Key responsibilities

    1) Performance Media Activation & Execution

    • Activate and manage performance marketing campaigns across priority digital channels (e.g., retail media, eRetail search, paid social, programmatic).

    • Execute campaign setup, launches, and ongoing optimizations in-platform, ensuring accuracy, speed, and consistency with strategy and objectives, in line with brand defined strategy.

    • Own daytoday trading activities including bid management, budget allocation, pacing, and impression delivery.

    2) Optimization & Performance Management

    • Continuously optimize campaigns in-platform based on performance data, platform signals, and learning agendas.

    • Monitor KPIs such as ROAS, CPA, sales, conversion, and efficiency-identifying opportunities to improve outcomes across audience, creative, placements, and bids.

    • Work with the IGL to operationalize optimization frameworks and ensure insights are actioned quickly.

    3) Analytics, Reporting & Test Execution

    • Execute testing plans (creative, audience, bid strategy, landing page) including A/B tests and incremental experiments.

    • Support tagging strategy, QA, and data capture to ensure performance measurement is accurate and actionable.

    • Contribute to performance reporting and learning readouts by translating data into clear observations and implications.

    6) Policy, Stewardship & Governance

    • Ensure all performance marketing execution adheres to P&G media buying principles, governance, and stewardship standards.

    • Follow established trading playbooks, QA processes, and documentation standards.

    • Support operational discipline through consistent workflows, naming conventions, and platform hygiene.

    Success in this role:

    • Campaigns are launched on time with high executional quality.

    • Performance is actively managed and improved through disciplined pacing, bid management, and optimization.

    • Tests are executed cleanly, with results clearly documented and shared.

    • Data is trustworthy, tagging is accurate, and reporting supports confident decision-making.

    • Strong partnership with National Media Traders and other Retail Media Traders to enable faster learning loops and better business outcomes.

    • Governance, stewardship, and media buying standards are followed consistently.

    Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Media Operations or a related field.

    • Comfortable working fast, with a high attention to detail and iterating based on performance signals and test results.

    • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across strategy, creative, analytics, and agency teams.

    • Selfdirected, dependable, and able to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.

    • Curious, proactive, and motivated to continuously improve performance outcomes.

    • Ability to work onsite in Cincinnati, OH based office on a hybrid schedule.

    Preferred:

    • Experience in one of the following areas: Digital Commerce, retail media, or paid search (Amazon experience strongly preferred).

    • Hands-on experience managing search campaigns within major eRetail platforms in US and Canada.

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into action.

    • Proficiency in Excel and performance reporting tools.
