CNC LASER OPERATOR
Monday - Friday 
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Set up and operate an enclosed Amada CNC laser-cutting machine.
  • Load carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other sheet materials.
  • Select and run the correct machine program for each work order.
  • Enter or adjust machine settings based on material type and thickness.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications.
  • Monitor cutting operations and respond to machine alarms or errors.
  • Inspect finished parts for proper dimensions, cut quality, and defects.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other measuring instruments.
  • Remove completed parts and separate usable material from scrap.
  • Change nozzles, clean lenses, and make basic machine adjustments.
  • Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
  • Record production quantities, material usage, and quality results.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • At least one year of experience operating laser-cutting machines or similar metal-fabrication equipment.
  • Experience operating an Amada or similar CNC laser machine preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand measurements and tolerances.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal, material thicknesses, and laser-cutting processes.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
  • Basic computer and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
