Overview
The Senior Analyst will support strategic growth initiatives through analysis of market intelligence, opportunities, targeted outreachplanning and preparation of reports and presentations for senior management.
Responsibilities
• Track relationships with key stakeholders in the insurance industry, including, but not limited to, regulators, brokers, industry associations, agent groups and media
• Collaborate with Events, Government Affairs, Research and Business Development teams to identify key audiences and opportunities to increase engagement. Gather, review and analyze feedback to identify where improvements can be made
• Analyze market opportunities globally and track regulatory requirements, domestic safety, cultural, legal SWOT analysis and cost dynamics to gauge opportunity for presentation to senior management
• Drive industry engagement and awareness of AM Best through the facilitation of third-party meetings and event participation (speaking/sponsoring/attending). Track meetings for follow up
• Analyze market challenges ranging from competitor activity to technological advancements and product opportunities
• Analyze insurance sector dynamics to aid in prospecting and forecasting
• Track Key Performance Indicators as it relates to hosted events and event participation
• Facilitate the building of targeted lists from existing contacts for specific education, informational or marketing campaigns
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of Industry Relations including facilitating, tracking and fulfilling requests for materials, research, and staff engagement
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Risk Management and/or Finance or related field
• Master's or advanced degree a plus
• 3 to 5 years' experience, preferably in the financial services industry
Skills
• Must be a positive, highly organized self-starter with excellent communication skills and ability to work across different departments and seniority levels
• Strong Salesforce, SharePoint, Excel and Power Point skills
• Must be comfortable researching across numerous platforms to develop a comprehensive understanding of an industry segment, its key drivers and actionable insights
• Strong understanding of the credit ratings and how they are relevant in the insurance industry
• Must work well in a collaborative environment with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests/projects while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills with financial planning and analysis experience a plus
