We offer a competitive salary and are looking for someone who brings professionalism, reliability, and exceptional communication skills to this important position. This role requires much more than answering phones and greeting visitors. We are looking for someone who is an exceptional listener, communicates clearly, remains composed under pressure, and has a demonstrated history of being a reliable employee. Because our receptionist is often the first interaction a client, family member, caregiver, applicant, or community partner has with our company, the person in this role plays an important part in the experience we provide. What We're Looking For Active listening skills are essential for this position. The ideal candidate has the ability to listen carefully, understand what someone is communicating, ask the right questions, and accurately relay information to the appropriate person. We are specifically looking for someone who: * Has a minimum of 2 years of receptionist or front-desk experience * Demonstrates exceptional active listening skills * Has a proven track record of reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance * Can remain calm and professional in a high-flow, high-stress office environment * Can manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail * Communicates professionally and respectfully by phone, email, and in person * Makes every visitor feel welcomed, acknowledged, and valued * Can accurately receive information and communicate it to the appropriate team member * Uses good judgment when determining what needs immediate attention * Maintains professionalism when interacting with individuals who may be frustrated, concerned, or under stress * Is organized, dependable, and comfortable working as part of a fast-moving team * Understands the importance of confidentiality and professional discretion Key Responsibilities * Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner * Answer and appropriately direct incoming phone calls * Listen carefully to callers and visitors to accurately understand their needs * Take clear, complete, and accurate messages * Communicate important information to the appropriate team members * Assist clients, families, caregivers, applicants, and other visitors with professionalism and compassion * Manage multiple incoming requests and priorities * Support general front-office and administrative functions * Maintain an organized and professional reception area * Help create a positive experience for everyone who interacts with our office What Success Looks Like in This Role A successful receptionist at Always Best Care doesn't simply hear what someone is saying — they listen to understand. You should be able to manage a busy phone, a visitor arriving at the front desk, and competing office priorities while still making the person in front of you feel like they have your attention. We value employees who show up, follow through, communicate, and can be counted on by their team. A demonstrated history of reliability in previous employment will be an important consideration in our hiring process. Qualifications * Minimum 2 years of receptionist/front-desk experience required * Strong employment history demonstrating reliability and dependability * Exceptional active listening and verbal communication skills * Strong organizational and multitasking abilities * Professional telephone and in-person communication skills * Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment * Strong attention to detail * Professional demeanor and positive attitude Compensation Always Best Care Albuquerque offers a competitive salary for this position, based on experience and qualifications.
