Job description

Altronic LLC provides innovative engineering and solutions for natural gas-fueled engines and manufactures high quality, high value, and reliable products. With approximately 200 employees, we are dedicated to delivering excellence in our products and services. We are seeking a Warehouse inventory clerk to join our team in Girard, Ohio. This role is responsible for receiving material, maintaining Kanban, and keeping the production facility stocked as needed for production. You will also assist in packing finished goods and other tasks in the logistics area including receiving and warehouse duties This is a full-time hourly position, day shift, Monday to Friday schedule. Overtime is required as necessary per the production requirements, for all employees.
Main Tasks:
The position is responsible for handling raw material throughout the production facility. This primarily consists of electronic parts and other small items used in the manufacturing of electronic boards, ignition coils and wiring harnesses. This includes receiving material checking the material against the picklist for correct part numbers and quantity and packing the shipment to the correct method of shipment. You will also help with packing material per the routers and putting the material into finished goods stock. You will be performing tasks in ERP system (SAP) and other shipping sites. This position will also be required to learn additional areas of our logistics department.
Individual Tasks:
  • Thoroughly check and receive in raw material from vendors.
  • Put away raw material into the stockroom in an organized and efficient manner; use of equipment such as scales,
  • Pull finished assemblies for delivery of goods
  • Packaging and storing finished good materials in accordance with written instructions
  • Ship material to customers per customer requirement
  • Supply production material using various strategies (automated, manual, Kanban, etc.)
  • Support inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Proper packaging and storing finished good materials
  • Assemble kits of materials using Bills of Materials
  • Pull finished assemblies for delivery of goods
  • Assist in the loading/unloading of trucks
  • Perform various activities using our ERP SAP system

Requirements/Challenges:
  • Minimum 1-3+ years' experience
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for 7+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to read and interpret a Bill of Material
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Overtime as per company requirements

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Ability to use digital scales to measure small parts quantities
  • Strong Computer skills (ERP/MRP system, SAP knowledge preferred)
  • Basic math skills and strong problem-solving skills required
