Position Overview

Serve patients in moments that matter and be a part of the future of health care. SCP Health, a physician-founded and physician-led organization, is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join the Emergency Department at Saint Anthonys Health Center in Alton, Illinois.

This opportunity offers the ability to practice high-quality emergency medicine in a well-supported, remodeled Emergency Department, with strong specialty capabilities, advanced monitoring technology, and a collaborative clinical environment.

Clinical & Program Details

  • Patient Volume: 25,000 ED visits annually
  • Specialties: Emergency Medicine
  • Pediatrics: Emergency Department approved for pediatrics by the State of Illinois
  • Stroke Care: Certified Stroke Center (Joint Commission)
  • 24-hour physician coverage
  • 7:00 AM 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
  • 12 hours of NP/PA coverage
  • ED Size: 16-bed, remodeled Emergency Department
  • Acuity: Moderate
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Procedures: Full-scope emergency medicine procedures
  • ICU: Available
  • Admissions/Transfers: Supported by inpatient services and regional resources

Qualifications

  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Licensure: Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal or Family Medicine
  • Experience: Prior Emergency Department experience preferred
  • Clinical Skills: Broad emergency medicine skill set appropriate for a community hospital setting
  • Badges: BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ability to obtain)
