Your Opportunity
At Schwab, you're empowered to make an impact. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the industry together.
As part of Schwab Investment Platforms, Solutions, and Strategy (SIPSS), you will join an enterprise focused on delivering a broad suite of investment products that help clients achieve their financial goals. SIPSS brings together product development, offer management, platform strategy, and delivery, enabling Schwab to accelerate innovation, align strategic roadmaps, and strengthen how Schwab shows up across advisor and client experiences.
Within SIPSS, this role sits in Investment Offers & Solutions (IOS) and focuses on Schwab's Alternative Investments and Structured Products offer. IOS continues to define strategy and deliver the roadmap across mutual funds, ETFs, fixed income, 529, managed accounts, alternative investments, structured products, insurance, and annuities. In this role, you will help shape the evolution of Schwab's product platform, offers, and operating model-balancing advisor and client needs, risk management, operational scalability, and competitive positioning.
The Senior Product Manager, Alternative Investments & Structured Products, is responsible for end-to-end product and offer management including issuer onboarding, field enablement, content and collateral management, and strategic initiatives that improve client and advisor experiences. You will partner closely with internal teams across Advisor Services, Fixed Income, Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Marketing/SAC content, and enterprise stakeholders, as well as with external issuers, wholesalers, and fintech providers.
What you'll do
  • Lead product strategy efforts, including market analysis, opportunity framing, and platform and operating-model assessments, that inform decision making
  • Onboard new providers by coordinating agreements, due diligence, internal approvals, system setup, and readiness across internal stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between Schwab, issuers, and advisor facing teams on matters pertaining to alternative investments and structured products
  • Support training and field enablement by building or curating content and improving how internal partners understand the offer and workflows
  • Own day-to-day offer management activities, including oversight and fulfillment of key operating deliverables
  • Identify gaps in advisor experience and drive enhancements that improve competitiveness, scalability, and risk management
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, supervision artifacts, controls, and process documentation to ensure the platform and offering operate within Schwab's policy, supervisory, and client-experience expectations
  • Monitor platform health, operational issues, and emerging risks
  • Partner across business lines including Legal, Risk, Compliance, Fixed Income, Advisor Services, Operations, Technology, and Marketing/Content teams

What you have
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, with meaningful experience in strategy, product management, or business/operations management for investment products
  • Proven ability to harness AI tools like Microsoft Copilot to scale knowledge, solve complex problems, develop strategic frameworks, and unlock smarter ways of working
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including use of data and research to transform ambiguous or complicated challenges into practical, scalable solutions
  • Ability to create executive level presentations in PowerPoint and to communicate clearly to stakeholders ranging from tactical partners to senior leadership
  • Organizational skills that enable managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-moving, matrixed environment
  • Efficient and accurate observance of processes and procedures, controls, job aids, and other relevant documentation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Alternative investments, structured products or adjacent complex products experience
  • Familiarity with Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and Custodian business models
  • Experience interfacing with issuers, banks, wholesalers, or fintech/platform providers
  • Defining and developing product strategies that achieve measurable business outcomes
  • Series 7 and/or other relevant licenses or credentials (for example, CFA/CAIA)

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
