Our esteemed client, one of Canada’s leading law firms with offices across Canada and New York, is seeking a talented and motivated Junior Associate to join its Banking & Specialty Finance Group in it's Calgary office.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a junior associate to develop a broad and sophisticated finance practice while working closely with highly regarded practitioners. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with a broad range of domestic and cross-border financing transactions.

- Support transactions ranging from smaller and mid-market financings to larger, more complex syndicated deals.
- Draft, review and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, guarantees, intercreditor agreements and related closing documentation.
- Conduct and coordinate due diligence, including the review of corporate records and security registrations.
- Manage transaction closings and work collaboratively with clients, opposing counsel and internal legal teams.

- Experience assisting with both mid-market and larger syndicated financing transactions would be considered an asset.
- Strong drafting, analytical, organizational and transaction-management skills.
- Commercially minded, practical and responsive in their approach to client service.
- Confident and personable, with an interest in working directly with clients.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for business development and building a long-term practice.
- Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
